Hi Cliff,
i find with driveway cleaning that people are not sure what they are going to get, they seem to think that you are going to turn up with a little karcher and just give it a rinse it over or even, as a customer of mine this week told me, they have been quoted to scrape the moss out the joints!! i try and sell it more as driveway restoration, bringing it back to as new condition! i've been really busy this year with drives doing it this way, i have my best before and after pics on my flyer and describe exactly what i do
hope this helps??

Just looked at your website and I've noticed your prices - when I'm quoting I tend to base it on time it will take me rather than price per m2. This tends to work out cheaper for the customer but still allows me to earn a decent income. A straightforward 100m2 drive could take just over a couple of hours so customers do feel its expensive if I'm charging £200 +.
I do have a m2 rate on the website to allow for drives with bad drainage, low water pressure etc but very rarely actually quote this price.
Also once I've cleaned a drive in an area I often do some canvassing in and around the area - they've seen what they'll get at their neighbours and are happier to pay for it then.
I show before and after pics and videos to customers when I'm quoting - shows them what they'll get.

Ive never charged those rates only put them up sat so if somebodys looking and is intrested and i turn up and quote them cheaper they think they are getting a bargain.
I generally charge £1 square meter but i must admit on some jobs its hardly worth the hassle as u dont get much,so i put the prices up as a guideline.
