Title: TC Canvassing???
Post by: WCS Limited on August 10, 2012, 11:00:53 am
Anyone got his new number as his old one 07412 853355 doesn't work anymore???

Tom if you see this message, that's another cancellation today so that takes what you owe me upto £145.00 but as you've dropped off the face of the earth again and not been in touch for three weeks I think I'll just have my money back that's £290.00

This has gone on for far to long now (3-4months)

best of employing someone you know mate, my canvasser got 310quid on yesterday i was paying 70% but taking out cancellations etc ive now negotiated with him 50% and take cancellations on the chin coz it was too much stress working out what i owe him and that and then deducting cancellations it starts to bring out a negative vibe, we all no canvassers will sign any one up to get to get a wage at the end of the day but to be fair they may sign up people who seem decent folk who then turn to be messers and its not really the canvassers fault

Wcs you cant be doing a verey good job if have lost that much??. Its not always a canvassers fault. Anyway this is the reason i only pay a fiver per new clean a canvasser gets me. Im not gonna get mugged off by people wanti g 2/3 cleans for canvassed work... No way.

Ok firstly I bought a small round in Braintree from Tom that turned out to be well underpriced in almost 75% of the work so I handed it back to him on the proviso that he would make new work up in the areas that I'm in for the cash that I had already given him. To which he has been doing but only a minute amount each month.

The cancellations on the other hand are to do with his canvassers not giving the new customers the correct information and being his canvassers are only interested in a quick pound earnt the comeback locally has increased, poorly underpriced work with little information to the customer is not good and I'm not the only one to say this.

I'm after his number as the amount that was still outstanding from the round I gave back is long overdue to be canvassed and I want my money as I'm sick of waiting. Being also that he has not answered his phone in two to three weeks and now that it doesn't work worries me that he has tried to vanish. BUT until I get that confirmed I'm stuck between a rock and hard place.

So if anyone could pass on the message to him that I need to talk with him I would much appreciate it

Thanks Scott

I do agree and I'm trying to employ two full time at the moment but they are like gold dust lol. Funny thing is Tom in himself is very good at the canvassing it just the aggro the comes with his lackies that gets in my nerves.

WCS,

just take it on the chin, if he gets in touch he does if he doesnt its £150 uve lost, unfortunately some canvassers gamble that the stick rate is high give you all the guarantees you need to hear then when the poop hits the fan they do a runner its not uncommon

and you are not alone , some people have been given £1000s worth of leads who 50% just want a one off and end up paying 2-3x cleans..

if you ever hire a canvasser again and you get these no risk guarantees just ask youself if you would be able to offer what you have been offered who in there right mind will walk around and reknock x amount of work when they have bills to pay each day like you do.

try and pay the least amount you can for canvassed work how much is up to you but each time you hand over money keep in mind that 50% of whats canvvassed is a one off then work out what you think is fair, so yea 50% or a fiver per clean is good, truoble is not alot of people want to work for that or you may not be as lucky as mick or ritchy so you may need to find middle ground and pay a little more.

Unfortunately its more like £200 of my cash he's got for work that he hasn't done the rest is cancellations, I understand it's tough with guarantees etc (yawn) but if you cannot guarantee something you shouldn't offer it. I certainly wouldn't. Im just after the money I shelled out for the work I handed back! I have given him benignity of the doubt numerous times now I've paid for canvassing and that's that I should be getting.
