just had one of my custys ring and say that the pure water has marked her lead and in some places taken the colour out altogether and it is know a very pale gray with white stains, is this possible as we have alot of customers with leaded windows and they all look fine ???
can any one help?

I honestly can't see how it could. pure water is almost inert.

That is the lead oxydizing with the water,
Is it a 1st clean?
Is the lead silver or antique?

And if you go and have a look, check that the marks arnt on the
Inside of the unit, you get white marks around the lead when the unit
Has broken down,

my friends, they have noticed the colouration because they have looked closely to check the clean, had they look this closely beforehand they would hav e realised that the lead was already like this as it happens with age.

it was the fourth clean and we have been to look at the windows and it is actually going rusty in small places, the lead is only discoloured in patches and it certainly does not look like it was our fault as it was like that before we started. we tried to explain this to the customer but she wants a traditional cleaner instead so we thanked her for her custom and parted company, but thanks for your comments. :D

you have dont the right thing here guys, i know its a pain when you lose a job, however you dont want this house you wont even care about it in a weeks time, not your fault
