Acetone should work but take care. Nail polish remover might also work.

Prochem Gluespot (A281) is aimed at this sort of problem so worth a try if you're uncertain with the others.

Acetone is nail varnish remover but you can get different strenths.
As long as the solvet does not penetrate the backing you will not encounter any probles except on a triacetate fabric.

Nail varnish remover has a blend of oils in it to condition the nails and stop them drying out with the acetone so I would not recommend it.
Acetone will remove the varnish however you can still be left with somne colour which will require dye removal techniques.

As JK says.

Acetone will remove the varnish-you may need sod met to remove the colour.

Prochem Gluespot is very expensive for what it is-especially as it's nigh on impossible to get all the contents out of the can.

Hi Guys

Remember Acetone is an ionic solvent and as such is soluble in water, so many products are quite dilute.

You want the most concentrated Acetone you can get, ebay is good for this.

Cheers

A customer of mine had spilt a bottle of nail varnish on a synthetic looped pile, it came up with just a microsplitter spotter, mpower.  It may have been the type of varnish, or that it was a recent spill, but I never needed to use acetone.  So it is worth trying a gentle approach first, you never know your luck! :)

I find the best way to move nail varnish is using 'amyl acetate' with a combernation of gel solve [orange gel] . always well ventilate. [u can get quite high on the fumes]
