Title: Changing 4040 membrane any advice?

Hi lads.

Just picked up a new 4040 membrane need to replace it and cant find any instructions on net. Any advice? Dont want to rodger it. Do both the black end caps have to come off or is it the internal bit on the end that unscrews? any no no's before I get at it?
