Where and how do you attach a pressure gauge to a pump like this?

I've got no idea what pressure rating I am using my machine at, and also to check that it does rate at what it is supposed to.

Any information on what sort of gauge I need and how / where to fit it would be appreciated.

You can buy a generic gauge, though you will need to buy an elbow fitting the right sizes. I think Lee from blast away posted some links for gauges recently. Search his backposts.
