Title: WFP Only window cleaners?
Post by: PurefectWindowCleaning on August 04, 2012, 04:01:46 pm
For those of you that have never cleaned a window traditionaly in your life, im curious to know your response when a customer asks you to clean their inside windows?

Also, we have recently made the change to WFP, but we still clean loads of windows/houses trad where its simply quicker and easyier to do so. I cant imagine not having my squeegee in the van.

Front doors are another one. I cleaned the front door of a customers house a while back with wfp, the letterbox was one where the flap pushes inwards, and the water leaked in the letterbox and got her post soaking wet.

I now clean all front doors trad regardless

when a thread like this came along some months ago i think the main response from those who had never
done trad was 'i just wouldn't do an internal clean'

I'm obviously not a real window cleaner, yet I seem to go out and earn a packet each day cleaning people's windows to their complete satisfaction.  I wonder where I'm going wrong?

You obviously haven't master WFP if you find "loads" of windows easier trad. Keep at it, it will come.

not saying you are wrong, but if i didn't trad clean I would be out of pocket big time, most of my commercial includes insides and I would need to drop my shopping mall work, then there is the contract where I do two levels at roof level from a safety line fully harnessed up, and to do that wfp would require about 500 meters of hose ??? and it would make the job more dangerous

If I asked my window cleaner to clean my inside windows, and he said 'no, sorry', you wouldnt be my window cleaner anymore, thats for sure!

Also, commercial jobs... what do you do, say 'no sorry we dont clean inside windows'?

YOUR GREAT WINDOW CLEANERS YOU ARE

I think the point is you don't need to trad to be a proper cleaner,I know many who have huge rounds ,that don't touch insides or commercials, and they are great at what they do they have the bank statements to justify this, obviously its down to choice and what work you want to take on ,the way people talk about it like you need an apprenticeship to be able to trad, its a piece of cake, just get quicker the more you do.

Well, I guess if you want to stay away from commercial then ok... not the greatest idea in the world mind considering it can be higher paid, and leaniant when it comes to cleaning in thunder storms.

As for not offering inside cleaning... wouldnt the customer much rather Joe Bloggs come clean her windows as she wants the insides done from time to time?

Its like ordering a fry up, and being told it comes with no eggs as they dont like the feel of egg shell on their fingers  ;D
(thats a really poor example but my brain isnt working today, and ive just had a fry up haha)
