right fellas.
need to change two hose reels and hoses,on the van,
at the moo we use minibore 8mm id.from streamline,we had these for 4years and believe me they been battered every day for the 4 years
and normally metal reels,from purefreedom
any adavantages of using the ligher microbore ? and who from
you advice please.
-
Gardiners thermobore seems very good. You've answered your own question really 4 years is really good for hose and reels. I'd buy the same again.
Gardiners metal reels are nice ........ 'till they twist and fall apart and have a poor hose connection in my opinion.
-
is the thermobore as flexable as the minibore mark?
i can see it being a bit stiff to hold the heat ?
-
No it's really rubbery and quite flexible. Bit expensive and it does seem to swell a bit but I like it.
-
what swell with or without the heat?
-
notices my hose is getting to the point it needs replacing.
have just got the gardiner lightweight reel. lovely reel and doesnt jump off nearly half as much as my old metal reel as this one has rounded edges.

thoght on if it last,
as i said last metal reels which are still used every day are 3/4 years old

My thermobore has swelled a bit with cold water only. Not a problem just not as small as it once was. I had some minibore before from Sureclean but it went stiff and would throw coils off the reel.
Hey Franky, are you a chess player by any chance?
-
why not get some cox reels or the new ones by PF... they look good
-
2 gardiners claber reels , 1 with 60 metres of there new lightweight microbore hose and 100 metres on the other reel , nice and light if i need to take it out of the van regards alan
-
every one keeps saying gardiners reels, but will they last the time,to me they look like they aint going to last that long.
and believe me our reels get abused daily ;D
-
