I've at 2006 dispatch (900kg model) my current tank frame takes either a 650 or 400 lay flat tank, I originally had a 650 but thought it was too big so changed to a 400 but I've on many occasions run out before finishing for the day.
So my question is would you fit a 650 upright in a 900kg dispatch? I though of a 500 but I'm worried that if I take someone on it'll just be too small?????

Yes but I would only fill it to the 600l mark max.
-
That what I was thinking

You need to check with the van insurance company, as a lot of them now will not insure 650 tanks !
-
Really hmmm I shall call them tomorrow to check
-
Yes, It is legal theft, what they can take from you ::) :o

Alexander Swann do and says 650 system fitted on my policy

so would that answer from you really mean no ::)
just work out the weight of everything tank and frame weight are about 700kg fuel, you, maybe a guy, pole pumps hoses etc. if everything weights under 200kg its fine, if your big guys then defo not
I would say this tank is to big imo, either get a bigger van or a smaller tank
-
if you already have the 400 fitted, what about taking some 25l containers with you.
that way if you get low transfer them into the tank.
saves buying a new tank, and changing insurance

If he wanted a 600l tank it would probably need to be custom made.

I have been taking extra barrels for a while and it just gets on my tits having to fill them up as well :(
Maybe I'm just being a bit tight but the other idea to getting the larger tank is that I don't have to buy another one when I upgrade the van at the end of next year...

With alwxandwr swan the tank needs to be professionally fitted

I have 650 tank in my pug expert hdi which is same van and it pulls fine and not over the payload With 2 blokes and equipment in. It is on the limit mind.

Thanks Mick, bit of an odd request but could you send me a pic so I can get a better idea what it would look like?
