Title: Equipment Recommendations
Post by: Richard Cole on August 02, 2012, 08:51:56 am
I'm going on a hard floor course soon and am looking at getting some additional equipment to enable me offer this additional service.

I'm looking for a rotary that can also be used on carpets, that is up to the job but is also affordable and also a hard floor wand to be used with my extractor (Airflex Storm).

I have seen various products with a big difference in terms of price and the best prices I have come across so far have been at Ashby'

I would imagine whichever Hard Floor Course you go on they would help and advise you what to purchase.  We certainly do and we also sell everything for floor restoration in our warehouse!

Which course are you going on?

Hi Kevin

Thanks for your reply. I'm going on the Nu-Life course and yes they did tell me they would advise people on the course in regards to equipment etc, I'm just inpatient and getting idea of costings and what is out there and what others are using. Not going to buy anything until after I have completed the course.

Yes I agree!  You will need to talk to Mike Philbin then at Nu Life because we all recommend different machines and different equipment.  I know this because I have had many people on our course who have done the Nu Life and Tile Doctor courses.  I personally never advocate the use of spinners because I do not believe anything beats a good quality Mono Rotary Machine & A decent 3 Phase wet vacuum

Though I don't own a spinner, I have used one albeit on a training course. I wasn't overly impressed. Perhaps they're faster to get through larger areas but I'd need a lot more proof before getting one.

After applying the correct cleaning solution,it produces fantastic results on Porcelain , ceramic tiles and grout, and with the pressure turned down will remove the slurry from polilshed and grinded stone.
