Title: Best small van for water fed pole one man band
Post by: JackieW on July 31, 2012, 03:26:01 pm
Tried 'search' under 'best small van' but couldn't really find what I was looking for.

Thinking of a Fiat Doblo with sliding doors either side.

Any advice?

i use a citroen nemo.  imo you dont need one bigger.  can fit a 350 litre tank, its incredibly fuel efficient, easy to park , low on tax etc.  if i go two ban i will go upto a berlingo or dispatch but for one man, dont think you need anything bigger

Ive got the Citroen Dispatch 2.0 hdi van.
Excellent van for wfp.
Double sliding doors, good load capacity, i carry a 500 ltr tank, plus small enough for parking

Doblo is good. I used mine as a one man band with a 400L for four years with no worries.

My suggestion would be a transit connect T230 LWB ... 900KG ish payload so you can grow into the van as you get busier.

What size of poles can you fit in a Citroen Nemo or do you have to put them on the roof?
  Cheers,

G . Brooks, I mentioned this van on here people said would be too small.

What's your road tax cost? If you don't mind me mentioning it.

I have 01 ford escort van.

Thanks Lee,

I have a Peugot Partner which is the same as Citroen Berlingo. Great little van but I think the Fiat has the edge.

i have a 25ft extreme which fits fine inside the van.  the road tax comes to about 130 off the top of my head for a year.  the best bit is the fuel- i spend £20 tops a week.  i would highly recommend one

Thanks  G.Brooks.

Nice looking little van.

Thing I like about ford escort is that it fits in my up and over garage, have garage enbloc.

I think I remember nemo with roof rack would just fit in fingers crossed.

Do like to put van away and mrs can go in front of garage, parking is tight where I live :(

Hi Scrimble, I could be interested in your doblo van and system, does it have RO and Di filters, have you any photos.
