In simple terms !!
Just about to invest in a WFP system thru Gardiners. Can some please explain the difference, advantage etc between an RO and DI ? Hope I have got that right !
Do you need both, can you just use one ? Good and bad points.
Thanks

Hi Tony, the answer is simply what is the water like where you live? Find out what the tds is of your water supply and if it is below say 70to 80 then DI is all you need. If it is higher then you will need an RO.
{DI only is only suitable for those lucky enough to have low tds}.

First thing you need to buy is a tds meter. Only then can you make the right choice by reading all the answers here.
If your water has a high tds, then you will need an r/o and small di. If its lower then DI only but it will need to be bigger to hold more resin.
