Title: Wfp everything
Post by: dean33 on July 29, 2012, 06:19:35 pm
Is there any windows you wouldn't recommend using wfp on or can you use it for every kind of window?

I wouldn't use wfp on windows 3.0, windows 95, 98, 2000 and windows millennium.

Also included in the list are windows XP, Vista and windows 7.

certain windows like the old aluminium white powdered windows can be a nightmare if the frames are oxidised, and some plastic windows with very dodgy rubber seals although you can get these good if you avoid scrubbing the top inch too much and rinsing half inch from the top of seal.

old flakey painted wooden windows that are rotting a bit are also not good esp if oxidised.i try my best to avoid frames on these with wfp on upper windows and trad the ground floors.

very old leaded windows are also not good really as they leak but i never get any complaints.

luckily these types of windows on my round a very few and far between.

i do trad some doors and ground floor windows in tight spaces as i find it easier than trying to pole them.more so in winter when its cold to avoid too much water splashing around that could freeze.

there is always room for a squeegee every day on my work although its only around 10-20 % but i like to keep my hand in with trad cleaning.mixes it up a bit and i quite enjoy it!! ;) ;D ;D ;D

best wishes

daz is right but to be honest just pole everything....

i used to trad downs and the oxidised frame windows, its faster to just pole if the customer aint happy just explain its not you its there windows and they need to get them fixed, trading it will sort the problem out but... honestly you far better re canvassing those kind of bad wfp window customers, the less amount of time you trad and the more time on the brush the more money you earn.

its just not practical to "pole everything" on some of my work.in fact im just as fast if not faster tradding some ground floor work!im a very experienced trad cleaner so i find it easy!! ;) ;D ;D ;D
