When my 500ltr van tank gets down to around 100ltrs it starts to trickle out of brush and means i need to re-fill tank before i need to. Battery and pump are both good, could be down to a small blockage somewhere and therefore their isnt enough pressure to push the last 100ltrs of water through? Anyone with same problem or a solution?

how far above the outlet is 100 lts? if its a fraction then 100lts is not enough for the pump to drag thru
this happens to me so i always park on the kerb and tip the water towards the outlet

It used to and should drain dry but it doesnt! Its not a hole in diaphragm, its not the battery or the pump & i cant find a blockage! Going up to see Arthur at sureclean on tuesday, so i should be able to nip the problem in the bud ! Cheers ;)

It won't be a blockage.
Do you have a flat or upright tank? Where is the tank's outlet? Is the problem exacerbated by the angle the vehicle is parked at - say on a kerb?

upright tank spruce, outlet at bottom corner towards bulkhead of van. Makes no difference if on a hill, kerb or flat. !

I had a similar problem,it turned out to be a hose lock connector the type with the cross inside designed to stop flow when disconnected.
Changed it to the open type and it solved it.

Ill find out on tuesday Ants! Itll be something simple of course but its a serious pain!

Have you got an air vent in your tank lid, or a way of air getting into the tank to replace the water coming out.
-
Yeah i do have an air vent in lid Craig.

i have the same problem jd although i think mine goes down to about 75 ltrs once it hits that point i have no chance of continuing work . Mike

Hi Mike. As you know, its a pain when you have a couple of houses to finish and your 8mile from home and you then need to go for a re-fill and then go back and finish two measely houses! Ill hopefully get Arthur at surecleansystems to fix it when im up on tuesday. Ill let you know the outcome.

Fixed. It was pump itself, needed to be sucked on basically, until the airlocks were out of it.! :-[
