Title: Can you fit aqua-daptor on extreme 25?
Post by: dazmond on July 27, 2012, 06:28:00 am
well is it possible? ;D ;D ;D ;D

if i invest in an extreme 25ft as my main pole there is no way i can work without an aqua-daptor!!they are just the easiest and quickest way of controlling my water flow!

i have a pole hose tap on my supermax and i hate it but ill leave it on for the few jobs ill use it on.

best wishes to you all

daz you,ve got to get the 25ft extreme i took delivery this week and its a great pole if your concerned about water usage just pinch the hose  , ok its not as effective as an aquadapter but you will save water once you get the  hang of it regards alan

thinking about it im sure the aqua daptor will fit as the carbon goosenecks are the same width are nt they?i just need to order the screw thread thingy that slides into the quick release clamp then screw aqua-daptor into it and fit a carbon gooseneck adaptor to it,then gooseneck and brush!

i certainly dont want to "nip" the hose!i love the aqua-daptor.ill be ordering the mark 3 if i get an extreme.they seem to me to be the answer to day to day working with minimum strain.

im planning on poling for a long time so i want to use the lightest most rigid pole as my main pole.dont get me wrong the SLX is a superb pole but the extreme looks like its in a different league!

i still ache some days using the SLX all day esp when cleaning soffits and fascias and awkward windows.the extreme would be a step up from the SLX IMO.

just think if an extreme pole lasts you 2 years getting used and abused daily thats only £300  a year to use the best pole on the market with minimum strain.

i would like you guys that have an extreme to give your reviews on here if possible!! ;D ;D ;D

many thanks

It will fit extreme pole Daz, i have mine fitted to an extreme. You can also buy a little attachment at Aqua Dapter if you need to attach it to a carbon gooseneck.

I remember thinking the same thing Ben but its minimal and after you start using the Aqua Dapter you will truly wonder how you ever done without out. Believe me....

I`ve got a tap on the base of my pole, lightweight pole hose with a small internal diameter keeping the weight of water within the pole to a minimum,i cannot work out a downside to this.IF i tangle the hose its because i was simply not paying attention to what i was doing.I soon dropped that habit.

Not always.  I purchased two aquadapters and we never got on with them.  We work with external pole hoses and that is actually the quickest and easiest way of controlling your water flow; you just nip a handy bit of hose and your water stops.

It's simple, hugely effective, cheap, never causes problems - it's so simple - no broken springs, no leaks - external pole hose means not dragging dirt up your pole causing wear 'n' tear problems, and it's dead easy to remove your brush head for tight spaces, or even stick another pole on if you want.

I flogged my aquadapters onto someone from this site.

it all sounds good tosh but i can honestly say pole hose on the outside of a pole coupled with pinching the hose to turn it on and off was a ruddy nightmare!!FAR TOO SLOW!!

trust me if i could work like that i would!like you ve said.pole will last longer due to no ingress of dirt, easier to extend and you can add sections very easily.i just couldnt get on with working that way.

the sheer ease of turning water on and off with the aqua-daptor,no loop of hose like when you use a pole tap/trigger is just fantastic.the extra weight is minimal.the new aqua-daptor is even lighter and more compact!

ive snapped a couple of springs but its an easy fix.first one lasted 9 months of constant use before eventually snapping.just keep a few spares in the van.

a compact mark 3 aqua-daptor on an 25ft extreme pole with either a standard angle adaptor or carbon gooseneck with extreme brush surely would be the  lightest, easiest and most convienient way to work with minimum strain for most domestic/small/medium commercial jobs of mine.

the only down side of the extreme pole i reckon would be poling in windy conditions!! :( ;D ;D ;D

i'm always in two minds with the aqua dapter, i really like the water flow control it offers but it does ruin a lightweight pole, when ever i do gutter fascia jobs or large commercial i take it off,

but residential its worth having it for saving water,

you want the lightest most rigid pole you can get, i wouldnt bother with the 25ft, the 18 is enough for 95 percent of houses why carry around a longer heavier pole that just isnt needed

the slx 18 is lighter than the slx 25xt!

Ive the SLX 30 Scrimble but i just remove the first two sections and keep them in van for when i need them. Thats the great thing about the SLX, you can remove and reattach the sections quickly and easily.

Only if you're a cack handed gimp.   ;D  With some practise - just like using a squeegy - it's far simpler and faster; there's one less item to break, there's no extra weight, and you don't get grit up the inside of your pole.

Oh, it's cheaper too.

scrimble an 18 footer might do for lots of your work but i need the full 25ft for lots of my work on a day to day basis.it would be too much faffing around having to keep going back to the van changing poles and wasting time.i have lots of windows above deep conservatories and extensions as well as velux and 3 storey windows to clean on lots of compact work plus commercial and large domestic houses.

maybe i am a bit cack handed tosh but pinching hoses with outside pole hose is NOT the way forward for WFP cleaning for me! ;) ;D ;D ;D

i will not be buying any more poles this year thats for sure but my next main pole will be a 25ft  extreme methinks! ;) ;D ;D ;D

i,m with tosh on this , i would,nt waste my money on another aquadapter when its easier to pinch the hose , it does,nt take long to get used to it and as tosh says no grit in your pole , and lets be honest the extra weight on a slx or extreme pole completely unbalances the pole regards alan

If the hose is outside the pole does it still not brush against or sometimes wrap round the pole thus transferring dirt that way?
