Used Dye gone for the first time today, on some urine stains and a hot coffee spill. Worked well on the urine, and just OK on the coffee.
I didn't take the PPE as seriously as perhaps I should have, it burns your eyes, the smell really attacks your nose and chest, and it doesn't do your skin any favours.
But overall it gets a

Same thing happened to me bit dis concerning at first but it goes after a couple of hours, main thing is did it take the stain out?
-
Ordered some about 20 mins ago, got a nice red fizzy drink stain to remove.
-
Ash, your first check is to make sure you have not got egg on your chin ;D or it will look like a blind cobblers thumb :D
-
I got that everytime I used it! ;D Didn't hurt me though. Its got a very strong odour and best to warn customers and open windows/doors before spraying!
-
I'm in two minds about this.
I don't know the product.
Looking at the photo, the main ingredient could be hydrogen peroxide which de-fats the skin, turning it white.
Stings if there are any small cuts, etc;
We used to use it as an antiseptic many years ago, (as well as bleaching hair that I can now only dream about) :( ;D
But some of you mention the odour which makes me think about ammonia which can do a lot more damage to your health, being a corrosive compound.
If the MSDS say's to use PPE, don't dismiss it.
Shorty.

It is indeed Hydrogen Peroxide and Ammonia in separate bottles which mixes via the sprayer
-
Thanks Steve, so it's a two part mix, that makes sense as to the problems caused.
Hint:
Instead of mixing them together, use each product separately.
Spray part A onto the stain, then spray part B.
This way you are only using minimal amount of product, getting the same result and not wasting product such as mix that you would have to throw away.
Shorty.

Yes, the expensive product sure doesn't last long!
I'll try that method but i'm 90% sure it works because it is mixed together.
-
I've had really mixed results with Dye Gone, in my eyes certainly not the wonder product some claim it to be.

You have both bottles next to the stain.
Spray one, then the other and mix it in the stain. ;)
Works for me, not this particular product, but others similar that I use.
Try it. :)

Sounds like the stain out product i used to use. Part A & B mixed together at different ratios. And indeed turned your fingers white if you got it on them.
-
K.O granville the bottle comes as 1 although each side and mixes through the trigger when used so there is no wastage check out the bottle to see what i mean.
-
As I said, I don't know this product.
Living in the sticks we miss a out on a lot.
All the ones I've come across have been in two separate bottles, A & B.
Sorry for my ignorance on not knowing that it is contained within the one bottle.
Do you remove the trigger and stem to flush out after using this bottle.?
Err, one other thing, the name is Glanville, not granville. ;D

That's constructive criticism from a "God".
Carry on.

I think that's Granville (David Jason) from "Open all hours"?

It looks the same as Knock out from Hydramaster one bottle peroxide the other ammonia. Over the years any products for removing dye stains were either oxygenating like this or reducing ie browning prescription , which stinks like sulphur.
