Title: Prowler Project
Post by: Mark Slaney on July 23, 2012, 05:50:31 pm

Took the plunge and stripped the prowler down for a re-vamp.

Top half of engine was stripped down, new head gasket, valves, new starter motor, new carb.

24 urai roots blower was upgraded to a 33 urai roots blower.

  Frame powder coated.

All new exhaust system, gone are the flimsy pipe work and replaced with a steel system.

  Pump serviced.

  A few other minor adjustments.

 Rather pleased with the result.

I know Dave, it was what they were running at the time so got it done cheaper.  ;)

Rab cost was around 3k including the purchase of the prowler.

Sweet as  ;D I think the green looks kool  8)
I fancy getting mines done, if I could find someone to take it apart
and put it back together again at a cost that would be worth doing.

Never seen a prowler in the flesh so i have a question.  The metal piping on top....is that just exhaust or for the heat exchanger?  If it for the heat exchanger then i would wrap the pipe with exhaust wrap and also the exhaust from the engine.  You will get much better heat and more constant higher water temps.

BTW Machine looks great.

Richie the pipe work on the top is the blower exhaust.  ;)
