i used my SUPERMAX for the first time today on a big house with large velux windows on their main roof.the pole reached them easily fully extended.
i used the pole for all windows on this house.i can even clean the ground floor windows fairly easily as the closed length is excellent.
the pole has a ribbed affect finish rather than the smooth action of my SLX.its fairly light in use but it does have a fair amount of bend when used fully extended.
i presume the ribbed affect is to stop the poles slipping at height due to a loose clamp.all in all im very happy with my purchase.its half the price of the extreme and it wont be getting used that often but its nice to know i have the equipment if i get a job that my 25ft SLX cant reach.
i will be able to reach most solar panels on house roofs with this size pole thats for sure!! ;) ;D ;D
i use it with a carbon gooseneck and medium extreme brush.
i currently only have around 5 jobs a month where this pole will come in handy although ill be actively canvassing and leafleting some large properties near me when ive caught up with my workload.
there are some very large houses near where i work that previously ive not bothered with due to only having my 25FT SLX.
all in all i think it will be a good investment in time!! ;) ;D ;D
best wishes to you all

Hi Dazmond
Do you think that this pole could be used all day long
-
I have an SLX40 and I couldn't use it all day long.
I will use it where I have to, then mostly put it away and take my CLX22 out and finish the job. Even although its carbon fibre, its heavy compared with my CLX and has a longer closed length. The larger diamt base isn't as comfortable to hold as the smaller diamt CLX/SLX, probably due to a little arthritis in my fingers.
I do use it completely on an old Victorian 2 story, as the van is parked so far away that its not worth changing over at the front and again I need the length around the back to reach over an extension.

cheers for that, I do use a slx35 all day and at times I do need the extra reach of the supermax 40, at the moment I use the sl2 for this work, but its the time to set up and break down which is what I looking at.
-
You could easily use a supermax 40 all day ( i have on many occasions), but it will definitely feel heavy in comparison to an slx30 or 35. As already stated, wider diameter isn't as easy on the hands.
Very bendy when fully extended and reaching over extension, but straight up the surface of a building it's great.

If you're looking for a serious & credible "one pole does it all" solution then one of the Gardiner Xtreme poles with extensions is probably the best solution out there. Granted, they are more expensive than other carbon poles but trust me, they really are in a league of their own! Not to be compared with Smax, elite poles etc!

I have though of that and alex agrees but he also questions whether its the right choice for staff to use all the time.
I have though been thinking that I could sell the older ones off every 2 years or so and replace with new ones, at the moment I am selling all my poles and replacing with new ones.

i wouldnt want to use the supermax 40 all day long thats a definite!!but for a high level fully carbon pole its ok to use for larger jobs and solar panels etc.
my 25ft SLX with aqua-daptor is perfect for all day use and very user friendly.ironically the 40ft supermax has a shorter closed length than the 25ft SLX due to having no aqua-daptor!! ;D ;D

I have already sold one of my sl2 I might get rid of he other one I have, but the flack I had, when I posted it for sale on here is not worth the hassle, might just Bargain Pages it, I have also sold my sl30 and clx 18 and the next up for sale will be the clx27

My 13 yo grandson can handle my new clx27 fully extended, he was very impressed with it and wants to follow grandads footsteps now.
Taking him out with me later in the week but told him its trad first for him. He can clean nan n grandads with the pole though and hes agreed to do back and front for £5. Another free lesson for the lad in time v cash management ahead.

yeh my lad's 12 & he can handle my clx27, anything you sell over that length i could be interested in though
why did you get flack for selling something ????

I think it's the price I was asking, but IMO it was a good deal but others keep on going on about getting a supermax which is a different pole to the sl2 for the price I was asking for the sl2.
