You should send a text back and say: sorry but i don't want to waste my time to try you again! ;)
-
I would have have text him back and said that I work in all weather - Would he like to remain on the list or not?

phone him and tell him rain will not affect quality of the clean.if he s not happy then you will re clean within 48 hours.
if he doesnt accept dump him.the last thing you want on a 2 monthly is a "not this time".ill gaurantee he ll mess you about in future mate.
he either wants his windows cleaned or not!!! ;D ;D ;D

Text him next time & say "sorry will have to miss you this time as weather is great & I'm a bit pushed with regulars" ;)

A little dissapointed Ian to be honest ,surely you must text with a witty responce ,I've used. Many of yours to great success .

Sorry Magic but this one got better of me but like the sorry too busy with regulars due to good weather reply
-
place a small bet with your lad that you the old pro can turn him into a regular who never cancels even in winter
find out the newbies hobbys and fake an intrest so you become a pal
-
Send the following text back: "Dear Sir. I have already tried you and you have been found guilty."

If you've enough work, just don't bother or in six months time you'll just reflect back on this and think, "I wish I never bothered!"

I had one on Monday that text me back asking me "is it really worth it this weather"? I text back and said rain wasn't forecast yesterday but got no reply. However I still did her windows because gardener was there to let me in.

Alex goes round letting windies onto custies property? Now that is good service! ;D

I always use the 'too busy with my regulars' response, for that type.
If it's someone that I would consider again or that I want to prove a point to (or just wind up :D), I tell them I'll put them on my 'waiting list'. Then they have to wait until I get a vacancy on my round.
I just play it by ear, then.

ive said this to a few at first but after no one took offence i say it to all the time waster customers
- just as much as you are looking for a good, regular & reliable window cleaner, we also need good regular & reliable customers.
-
Text back and appolgise that you will not be able to clean their windows ever again, explain that because it has been raining for the last 2 months, that you have gone out of business, the bailiffs are reposing the house, social services will be fostering the kids out, the dog and cat are at the pound, the wife has left you for an umbrella seller and the salvation army are now feeding you at the nightly soup kitchen. ;D
