has any one got or used the Elite range carbon poles on aqua adapter website as im not get on with my slx hate the black hands regards carl
-
two weeks for a clamp???? not very happy
>:(

WE HAVE 3 and very happy with ours.
i also have slx poles and really isnt a lot in it on shorter poles.
i have the flipfast and aquadaptors (mk3) on them, and think they are perfect, the 9/10" flipfast is great for awkward angles and brill for sills.
At heights and really awkward angles the slx is superior, everday cleaning 3 storey and below the elite is fine.
SPK TO PAUL AT AQUADAPTOR, HE GAVE ME AN ELITE 25 FOR SAME PRICE AS AN 18 I THINK IT WAS.

thanks for the info i had my first slx and was great then they changed carbon great poles but want to go back to the old carbon this new one makes my skin reall black and itchy so im going to get one now ta ;D

You will get black hands with the Elite pole as well mate.
After using for few months, first and second section starts wearing out like carbon dust.
Try some latex gloves.

I am about to place an order for an Elite25. I shall post a day one on the job review next if anyone is interested ?

i never get black hands as i wear blue nitrile glove liners with the tough showa 377 gloves over them.i bought 3 pairs for £6 each.i buy the nitrile gloves liners from gardiners.about £4-50 for a 100 of em.highly recommended.the gloves are waterproof so no dry skin due to pure water.
i use a 25ft SLX and 40ft SUPERMAX.
i ve never tried an elite pole but lots of guys highly recommend them.i wont buy one for the simple fact they are heavier than gardiner poles and i think the closed lengths are slightly longer! ;) ;D ;D

always interested in a good, unbiased review. The Elite 25 is £47 cheaper than the SLX on Aqua-daptors site

What is it with the weight thing and the closed length ??
Firstly the weight - Elite25 weighs only 115g more than the SLX25. That is static weight. In reality a pole that weighs slightly more as a static weight but is more rigid can in fact require less physical effort to use that a pole that weighs less static, but has thinner sections with more flex, depending on the angle of the pole. And then of course the weight of the brush head comes in as well.
As regard to the closed length a foot longer - i mean come on thats not going to make all the difference - its a non issue - you don't want to use a 25ft pole on Ground floor windows - a CLX-4 is what you want for that - takes the brunt of the wear and is cheap to replace.
-
The elite 25 is an excellent pole only the super lite extreme is better. The whole elite range is good. Having used an elite 25 hybrid side by side with a clx 27. I would say the hybrid elite is superior.

colt your post just shows how inexperienced you are in regards to wfp cleaning!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
WEIGHT AND CLOSED LENGTH IS EVERYTHING WHEN USING WATER FED POLES DAY IN/DAY OUT!!
of course you want to use your 25ft pole for ground floor windows!why wouldnt you?its impractical to keep changing poles between ground floor and upper windows!!an extra foot is massive on a pole this size esp if you use an aqua-daptor and gooseneck, not to mention if you vary the place where you clamp the pole to avoid excessive wear.
as for lightness it reduces strain esp when reaching over connies/extensions to clean the awkward windows.
best wishes

Dazmond - considering i have 6 years experience of WFP cleaning - and read your posts when you were still tradding about a year or so ago - and then changing over to a trolley etc etc. I'd say i have a little bit more experience in the field wouldn't you ?
If two poles is beyond you then keep it simple with one eh ;D
-
sorry colt! ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D
actually ive been WFP for over 2 years now!time certainly flies by!! :o :o
so do you change poles every time you go from upper windows to ground floor? ??? ???surely this wastes time?

So is the 25 elite hybrid or carbon pole fatter or thinner than gardeners poles

The SLX top section is thin enough to fit inside the elite top section, so an elite is always 1 section fatter for the same length pole.
