does having a professionaly sign written van make alot of difference to getting work? need more work man!!!

hi. ive never had my van sign writen, but have considered it. what about magnet signs, have you considered them. macc.

I should say it does putting livery on your transport can increase your customer enquiries. You could also use the services of free listings on the web, shop windows etc. In order to obtain more customers in our opinion try door to door canvassing.

Having a sign written van does make a difference.
Roughly 20% of our business has come from people who have seen the van.

I'm thinking of getting my van sign-written nothing fancy. Any ideas of rough price to pay

A sign written van is a "lost leader", as they say in advertising.
In other words, the results of the costs are not clearly tangible.
But, when I was in advertising, we noticed "lost leaders" invariably brought an increase in business. Sometimes difficult to prove how.
For something simple, £60 - £80

On a very high visibility job today. Lots and lots of clients customers passing by us.
Had no end of people stop and ask us questions.
4 people stopped their cars to write our number down, off the van
It's not just about the sign written vehicle. My van is cleaned every day - so today it was spotless.
We wear a full uniform and have high viz jackets with the company name on them. The whole area was sectioned off with plastic meshing.
The whole package was what everyone saw today and this is what we present every day.
You can have the best sign written van but if you do then people will expect the whole package!!!!!!

In our exerience the outlay is worth the money.
Hubby often gets stopped in the street by people who have noticed his van. He even picked up a small job when parked outside currys before Christmas - just because the lady had read his van.
We paid just over £100 but have an excessive amount of writing (which we would reduce next time).

Yes its well worth it.
I get stoped all the time, one man jumped in to the road flaged me down. He had a B+B house it was £40 every 4wks.
Mine cost £375 inc vat, but that one job alone has paid for it.

Hi all,
My vans are signwritten and it has brought in business, next time your out and about have alook and see how many vans are on the road with just the name of the company but no mention of the services provided, i'm not talking about recognised brand names but your average small business/ self employed.
Having your name on your vehicle is vanity, advertising your services is probably one of the most cost effective forms od advertising you can get.

Hi all my vans are sign written i think it makes a big difference when parked up in car parks and stuff ive had quite a few people come to me my van cost me £135 but ive had 3 done the same time and there is a lot of pictures on them ive attached a picture.

I read a quote above for sign writing that cost £375 odd. Ours cost £80 and although not fancy - it does the job.
We went for something unusual to grab attention which was 'we also do internals' which is what so many customers remembered us for.
A bit crude but it works.
