Does anyone use these rather than ladders. i know there is a lucrative market out there for selling conny roof deep cleans and that you really need to use these to get the roof looking brand new again.
has anyone done this and have you got your money back? i currently clean using wfp and chemicals but am considering the whole 'get your roof back to new' idea and you can charge really good money for that sort of thing.
-
you can hire them from HSS Hire Shops. get one for a weekend and try it out.
-
Yeah i use them and wouldnt be without them on conny cleans ive done cleans with just wfp and just dont get the same finish as with using the ladders

Don't you find them quite slow and cumbersome to move around. Although they are good I have hired one a couple of times for jobs.
I am just an old* shiner though, there is nothing (much) I couldn't do off an ordinary ladder with a couple of boards.
* getting too f-ing old!
-
no im use to them now , i have some customers who have woodern connys and want to hire them to paint there roofs
-
there is absolutely no need for conny roof ladders IMO.you can do just as good a job from the ground.if there is a need for em its usually to reach the panels that are right up against a fence but normal ladders with a stand off suffices.

Depends on what type of clean you are doing. If the customer is paying for a deep clean/renovation then it is highly unlikely that you will achieve the same results without a connie ladder.
How on earth can you get under conservatory roof capings/finials with just a brush.I have done endless amounts of jobs where the rubber/brush seals under the caps are to low to get a brush under effectivley.
What about when the rafter bars are ingrained and your washing up liquid ;D wont get them clean, then again with a set of conservatory ladders you would be able to get to them and clean properly.
Proper tools for the job is why they invented them..... :)

yeah i agree with the last post. obviously most customers are happy with having all the moss etc removed but a good fee, but im talking about getting the conservatory looking almost brand new shiny white again. spending a good half a day on it. even considering setting it up as a seperate website and selling it as a real deluxe extra. im only talking ideas here but imagaine charging 200 quid for a 'brand new connservatory' clean and doing two a day.

With the correct equipement and strong marketing it is defo a standalone business.Doing two deep cleans a day though is stretching it a bit imo as the customer is paying top dollar. :)

That's top stuff - really good!
Do you do the insides too - and what do you do when access is difficult?
-
g.brookes have a look at my web www.procleanconservatories.co.uk
very good m8.
what chemicals are you using to revitalise them giving them that nearly new look
-
I also had one they are brilliant but exspensive to buy.
-
good stuff GR, thats exactly what i was thinking about. if you dont mind me asking, how much do you get for a deep clean for an average outside conny roof?
-
I've only a couple of regular conny roofs I do a couple of times a year.
I use my wfp , although the customers happy I still think they are far from perfect because of the problem areas already mentioned.
Its just a thought I'd had before, do you think a pressure washer connected to my pure water would work better than wfp ?
Simon

g.brookes have a look at my web www.procleanconservatories.co.uk
are you kept busy with the full valets ?
have thought about doing something simlair in my area ?
can a conny roof really take the weight of say someone about 19 stone ?

just thought I'd ask

ian the guys who put the conservatory together spend many hours stood on top of it whilst theyre making it. i think the can take the weight of a human easily as long as you dont start jumping up and down

Sorry about the later reply
@ Gold yeah ive done the plastics on the inside before and if access hard i normal clean both sides of the cresting from the top of the ladder and wfp the hard parts ( wfp still has its use in a deep clean )
@ Carl@cwc thanks as for chems i use a few cream cleaners , solvent cleaners , tfr ,
@ g.brookes thanks as for prices for deep cleans it ranges i rather do i complete conservatory clean instead of just the roof , if im doing a full deep clean and depending on size i can get over £200+for larger one but yesterday i did do a roof only for £70
@ Ian H2o yeah im kept busy with full valets coming in via the web site im now traveling up to 40miles from home to do them dont like traveling that far the customers pays well , lady in york contacted me via my web site and could not find anyone in that area who cleans conservatory like i do , ive cleaned it and im going back next sat to do next door and price up two more when im there
Cheers Gavin
-
Gavin, if i posted some pics could you tell me how much you would charge ?
-
there is no way i would stand on a customers conny roof!!there is absolutely no need!!IMO you can get an acceptable clean from the ground or poling off a normal ladder.you dont have to eat your dinner off em!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
all my customers have been very pleased with the results of my efforts just using WFP and virosol/tfr.enough said!
best wishes to you all

with all respect youre missing the point daz. the whole selling point is not an adequate clean, but getting it looking brand new again, and for that you need to roof ladders. As i said previously most customers are happy with a wfp conny clean, but there is a lucrative market for an 'as new' service
-
blue frog just send over send them over and ill have a look , dazmond i sometimes still clean cony with just wfp but as g.brookes say its all about that deep clean and back to new look
-
Gavin, i'll post them on here and you can email me .... my email address doesnt like sending pictures (email in profile)
Cheers mate

Gavin, could i be cheeky and ask you how much you would charge for that connie blue frog posted?
1) roof.

3) " " and inside.
I was thinking, with a connie roof ladder Roof (£100-120)

roof gutters and all outside (£200)
all outside and inside (£250)
Was thinking of buying connie roof ladder can you recommend one?

Why dont you send me bottle of this and I can then try it and give an unbiased opinion on the forum. No one will take much notice you trying to promote your own product. They might more if it comes from someone not associated with it.
Just an idea

this looks like the people you mentioned.
Was your price for all outside connie or that plus inside?
found this little vid of connie roof ladder being assembled.

thanks for your posts Gavin.

could you not use one of them folding ladders(folds down in to 4 sections)
you could unfold three sections and the fourth on to the roof as they normally have very wide feet/stabilisers and would probably straddle the conny roof bars ???

Why go through all that hard work, just do it like on this video, take a lot less time. :)

Bob, I bought one of those with that intention, haven't used it that way so far, just used it as steps when the need arises.

Hi Lee
Yes this is a great ladder stabilizer, we have been using it for past 2 years mostly on conservatory cleaning, and it’s a great piece of kit .
You can put on the conservatory roof and there will be no problem.
