I bought work before, it's never as good as your own knocking on doors. this time of year, go out and canvass at 6-8pm, you'd be suprised how much work you'll pick up!
And stay out of Deal ;D
seriously though theres pleanty of work in the area, even though theres a lot more window cleaners.
all the best

Hi fellas. We appear to have our own Fred.
I too have seen a lot of people out with ladders who appear to be old hands. I have twice last week been told by people that their cleaner is retiring and will in due course share any info I get that does not suit my needs or meagre budget.
When are they starting the new estate in Sholden? The more dfl's the better I say.

I've noticed in this business there are some funny types!
firtsly there are the polite, "How you doing" typeand
Then there are the "Where you from? This is my patch" sort.
The first, i put myself in, the other I don't care much for.
I never got this when I was a carpenter & joiner!
As a HGV driver, you never got it either
and in the forces we worked as a team!
Funny old world, isn't it?
I wish you well

Yep, plenty windows for all of us IDEAL.
People of Deal seem very friendly too, I spend a lot of my time canvassing just chatting. Not enough tea for my habit though!

True enough, hospitality sadly lacking in some areas
You have time for tea? :o

Really! You had problems before? Hope nothing serious.

No only joking
Mind you i have a few who have never asked me if i'd like a cup.
Then there are others
One old lady is great Posh coffee griddle scones and a good talk.
So it's swings and roundabouts.
Same whereever you go.

LOL i have had 3 texts from people telling me to stop dropping leaflets in their areas!! FYI i am the white escort van that you may see from time to time... i'm not really interested in canvassing deal as i know 2 of the other cleaners there.
I imagine when the sholden estate is finished it'l be flooded with leaflets and canvassers so ill probably stay away from that too :)
If any of you guys have excess work or anything like that ill be happy to compensate you for anything passed over.
other than that 99% of the windys i have spoken to are top blokes!

I'm no expert but a single leaflet followed up by a face to face is working for me bud. Don't get tarred with the same brush (pun intended) as the pizza guys. People in Deal love a chin wag.
I was given a cup of WITH BISCUITS today. Sadly they were just digestives and I'm a custard cream man.

Thats the way I have been told works best - its just a time constraint for me!
Hopefully ill get some return on straight leaflets then ill start going out properly :)

I'm getting loads of work.

your lad dropping leaflets needs to buck up
my van clearly sign written window cleaner was on my drive and he still put a leaflet through my door

Sorry about that - you know how kids are (at leas he is dropping leaflets and not binning them!)
So you dont want a cleaner then? :)
