Title: Getting pole hose out of pole
Post by: Spruce on July 06, 2012, 07:50:48 pm
I can't reply to this post that is running.

The problem is that the hole to let the hose out has been drilled in the wrong place on your angle adaptor.

I've just measured the one we originally got from Gardiners and the first hole was drilled 30mm in from the threaded side. It was drilled vertically and then another reemed angle drilled to reduce the hose angle.

I would be inclined to have another go at reeming your existing hole out even if it means filing a bit of the glued alloy threaded insert to give the hose a straighter exit.  Gardiners now supply there own angle adapter which solves this problem. Its the Resi-neck screw on Type 2 £4.25 +VAT.

This will solve your problem as the hose has a straight exit. However, the angle adapter is best suited to use with a 90 degree brush adapter housing. As I prefer the angled brush adapter, the adjuster is in a different position which, cosmetically, may not look right.

Thanks for replys  spruce ive orderded a brush today from gardeners i could ring them and get them to send me one i presume that the angle adapter has somewhere on it to route the hose out of.
