Cleaned a lovely 88-year-old's bungalow today.
When I first cleaned them (about 18 months ago) they had a blockage in their gutter which I cleared (just a big handful of moss). With the rain recently, I took a look and saw that the gutter was a third full of moss but clearing OK. I just mentioned it might be worth keeping an eye on it.
I mentioned I'd taken a look and what I'd found and she told me they were done six weeks ago. The moss I saw has clearly been in there since I last did the emergency unblock. They had given the side and the front a half-hearted clean out, but not touched the back.
How much? £450. I felt sick all day.
They deserve to be bayoneted through the lungs for a stunt like that.

Thats disgraceful.
I had one of my custys recently shafted by some fella offering to cut a tree down for him. Turns out this guy turned the old-boys house over and made off with some of his belongings.
I mean to at least get some sort of sign made up for this old boy to put on his door telling chancers to bugger off.

I have had a thing like this happen to a customer, similar age who was charged £300 to have her (extremely small) driveway cleaned. It looked like somebody did it in about an hour with a £99 pressure washer from Homebase.

One of my customers had a bay roof recovered, got charged £800 and they used offcuts of felt, replacing LEAD and used flashband to replace lead from brickwork to felt, also used wood fascia boards that arent even mitre'd,and left it unpainted.
I would take a guess at around £75 tops for materials and probably 2hrs work if that!.
Somebody must be selling alot of horlicks somewhere!!

That's a disgrace. I met an 85 year old man who served in RAF during WW2. He was a really nice chap.
Anyway, his conny roof was leaking ever so slightly, and he had a bucket underneath it. I asked him if he wanted me to fix it (free of charge of course) as it only needed resealing on one of the panels. He said he'd paid a guy £300 to apparently fix it!!?
I asked him about it, and the guy changed 3 ROOF tiles on his bungalow, that didn't need changing and had NOTHING to do with the conny roof, he didnt even bother addressing the leaking pane. So poor old fella is £300 lighter and in the exact same situation as before. I agree, feeling sick is the perfect way to describe it.
Absolutely disgusting. Makes you want to cry.
