Title: mastic included?
Post by: Tomboler on July 04, 2012, 11:39:33 am
By that I mean do you make a point of cleaning the mastic between the window and the building? I know the brush is gonna get it generally speaking but do you focus on it as part of the window clean process ? Anal question maybe but customer asked for it to be done today.

I can see a problem here. If the mastic is discoloured and green with algea growth then all the cleaning in the world won't make them happy. I see lots of work and no pay.

Exactly what I thought ! I think the cheeky mare sees me getting them [windows] sparkley in not as long as she thinks it should take and trys to get me 'earning' my money in other ways.

Weird. Today I picked up a new customer in a new house who wanted just that. Brick dust had discoloured it. I charged extra for first clean and said I would do what I could and if not good enough, call me and I would have another go by hand and charge extra.
