Just wondering how many have a minimum price for a clean. Say its just the front of a terraced house - 3 windows and a pvc door - but you have no-one else that you can do nearby without packing up and moving the van. What would you charge?
-
Min £10 for me now
-
If it's nowhere near other properties I clean the minimum charge £10, - near others minimum £8

I used to price lower if they were nearer, now it is all standard because if one moves the house becomes underpriced

£10

Thanks to this forum my min when 1st starting out was £10 now tends to be £12 and nowadays only offer monthly nowt else to new customers ......... any existing customers asking to go to 2 monthly will get quoted accordingly.

if it's front only, then I charge half of my minimum charge which is £12, turning up opening the side door and walking the hose and pole to the front of the house is easy, if it was just the back then I would charge £12, harder work and can take longer.
I don't charge extra because they are the only one in the area, I leaflet the surrounding houses each time I turn up, you soon pick up a few others to make it worthwhile

Like your priceing stratagy. I think min price of £10 for a house is so low nowdays as when i first came on this forum in 2003 i was advised to charge that as a minimum then we are 9 years on from that now.

have to say i love your pricing.
you prices are well above mine so some food for thought there for me. funny though as our minimum price for a conny roof is £60.
just wondering, do you place yourself as a high end service and spend longer accordingly? how long would you spend cleaning a 3 bed semi typically from parking to driving off?

I clean a lot of terraced, 2 windows front, 2 windows back minimum price £5.
If I charged £10 as a minimum I wouldn't have any work. I have rows with as much as 25 houses, walk along and do all tops then lower pole and do bottoms, earn a cracking hourly rate out of them.
-
depends where you are generally down south its more not so really cos things are more expensive but cos there isnt a window cleaning culture like there is up north or where you are,
if we had 25 in a row down here im sure everyones price would drop but its very rare here to have £20 houses 15 all in a row all individual customers up north its normal and you have much less managing,
all round small houses £12s
bit bigger £15s
bigger depending £20 etc etc.
i tend to stay min £10 fronts but i do go down provided customer has cheque book or online to £8 , will take £6 and i think i have one for a Fiver takes 20 secs thou :)
end of the day its not so much about the minium price per unit its the time you can clean it in and get paid.
i dont see whats wrong with cleaning one window for a quid if the customer is always there and you dont need to move your van!

I really think you undersell yourself . Why would i be able to get a terraced house front for £10 in south London and you get a whole house for £5. Fair play with 25 in a row though That's hard to get my biggest run is 14. Where are you based??
