evening all,
i think im getting some resin coming out my di and jamming up me rectus fitting and reducing me flow.
about 2 weeks ago ive put my di after my tank/ pump and its been fine untill today. i thought i had a duff batch if rectus fittings from gardiners, coz the flow after 10 mins would go really slow and when i uncoupled the 21 fittings they wounldnt got back together.
so changed them for new ones and the same thing would happen again and the flow would go painfully slow, as in pump on 60 and look like it was in 5! :o
and ideas chaps
kind regards
colin

check that the di is plumbed the right way round.

every thing is as it should be mate

First thing to do would check your strainer in the DI vessel and make sure it is not damaged in any way. Those slits in the plastic should be tight enough not to let any resin particles through.
-
erm.. the strainer is before the di.
ive been changing my system round as ive got an ibc now..
maybe ill go and move it
cheers

he means dismantl you DI.
but you could always take the DI's out, fill the tank using the DI then connect the tank directly to your pump.
that way the pump strainer will collect any debris
-
sorry i no what you mean
i might just do that, think there must be something up with the di as after 5 mins the stainer was the colour of resin,
at least can work full speed tomo and sort in out asap,
thanks for reply
colin.

Where the riser tube pushes up inside the head- there is a rubber O-ring to seal it. Check that this is still in place AND the riser tube is pushed passed it.
Other than that>
Direction of flow MUST be correct on some vessels (not all vessels)
Internal strainer(s), some vessels have 1, some have 2.
On another note- are you using the same resin as before? i.e. resin you KNOW worked ok before.

Cheers for that winpro I'll check all them tomo
I'm using tullision 115 for the 1st time mate

I've used Tulsion MB115 for some time now with no issues. ;)
A tip for future ( you may already do it )
After you've filled the vessel with fresh resin, fill it then with water BEFORE you put the riser tube & head assembly back in. With the resin suspended in water it's much easier to get the tube in & aligned. If you do not put water in first it's actually possible (as you push & pull the head assembly to line it up) for the riser tube to pull out of the head partially leading to similar problems to what you describe.
