starter motor gone on van .

I had one go on my doblo 2 weeks ago,
As soon as I got it fix the clutch went,
Then as soon as that was fixed the window wipers mechanism packed in on the m6 in torrential rain.
All in the same week was this. :-o
Dean.

Bummer! Monday morning too! >:(
Dean, did you think there's some sort of cosmic conspiracy against you?
Here, I reversed into some Chinese bloke last week who had driven right behind me as I was reversing into a car parking place by a road; flip knows why he went there; and he leaped out and shouted "Two hundred pounds"!
His car was a wreck before I reversed into it; I didn't think it looked legal, so I said, "No, I think we'll do this through our insurance!"
He didn't speak much English, so phoned some Chinese friends who turned up within minutes and they were all chattering away at a million miles an hour - like they do - and the female Chinese friend (who obviously fancied me) asked me, "Are you Chinese?", and I had to sheepishly admit I was Japanese (it's like the British/French thing; the Chinese don't like the Japanese).
They were from the local takeaway; I thought I was going to end up in the chop suey at one point!
And then later that day my ladders flew off the top of my van on a roundabout 'cos I never strapped them on and nearly caused another accident.
Wor Lass asked, "Where is your mind today?"
:P

Ha,
Yes I did mate,
It works like that sometimes unfortunately.
You were lucky with those ladders, I've done it a few times before. Once I was driving past a school and a group of young girls were about to step out infront of me so I slammed my brakes on and off flew 2 sets of ladders narrowly missing them. They thought that it was ever so funny. Little did they realise how close they were to being decapitated. ;D

I got to a job a few weeks back and realised that I'd left the pole behind in the car park where I live. Fortunately it's off the beaten track so it was still there when I got back.
Drove the 11 miles back to the job and found I'd somehow lost the nut that tightens the brush head. Drove a few miles to a B & Q only to find I had no money or cards on me.
Drove all the way back home, picked up some money went to another B & Q to find that I'd somehow then lost the bolt for the brush head. Drove back home, found the bolt on the floor by the front door - it must have fallen out my pocket when I used my front door keys.
Then a bus had broken down across the exit from the car park.
With a lot of cursing and swearing I gave up on the day and went back indoors as it was by now nearly 2pm.
