Title: Phone Call

Yesterday I had a phone call from a company threatening to take me to court to get my company's name removed from companies house as I have set up a dormant limited company to protect the name of my business. The guy said we had identical names and they can't go limited as I have the limited identity.Then in the very next sentence he then wants to negotiate a price to buy my name form me. I think its a wind up or a chancer.

tell him that you are willing to sell and the price is £1 million

Call his bluff mate. What do you think he is willing to pay? Nothing to lose.

I have had same kinda probs recently altho mine is just a trading name. I got called and abused over the fone by some local twat which has made me want to rebrand using a bigger and better name which happens 1st July!!

at the end of the day you had the name registered first  this is why u done it to protect it  ??? so its tuff on him unless he changes it slightly
