Not really, we found we spent more on replacement taps over the previous 2 years than we paid for the Aquadapters. And since we have had the first 2 Aquadapters (2 years) in question we have replaced 1 spring each at 99p and 1 wheel at 95p.

Once the tap head starts to move on the shaft the screw unscrews no matter what we did. We used super glue, locktite and Araldite.

Even with an aquadapter you would still need a tap when the pole is disconnected?

We use a female end stop on our minbore hose and the male tail on the pole hose.

Ah... Ok.

I can't understand why any one would do it the other way round ???

That's how it arrived from Pure Freedom. Male on minibore to female on microbore pole hose.

Both our initial hose reels came from Cleantech and they put the female endstop on the minibore. And it wasn't as though the hose reels were ordered at the same time - I would think there was about a years difference between the orders. They both came fully assembled.
I wonder why Pure Freedom choose to do it the other way round. Interesting.

buy the long handled tap that has a nut and not a screw found only lost one in a year and easy to buy a few spares for next to nothing

dont want to add aquadapter as thats more weight on pole which is last thing i want to do, i have fitted atiny tap instead where the aquadapter goes, size of a 50p piece and does the same job and a couple of quid and weighs nothing, still need a tap on microbore though, the best idea is to keep replace screws and if ones from plugs work great, hopefully a better tap will come on market soon.
