I have just changed from trolley to a van mount, and I am finding it hard to reel in the hose after house is cleaned !
I have it placed on the floor, as it is connected via an outside port, but when I try to wind the hose in it takes a huge effort, and the reel rocks about all over the shop.
Also how do you wind the hose back so it looks nice and neat ( when first bought ) ?
Any advice that can stop me breaking my back would be really appreciated ;D

I find it easier when the reel is lifted back into the van before reeling in. Not so heavy to lift and easier on the back.

Fix it in van , no need to lift in and out , I use a climbers karabiner , clipped onto hose , makes it easier to wind in at an angle, move slowly side to side , whilst winding in

Mines screwed down, makes it so much easyier.

Best bit of advice I can give is .......... Use the handle that is fixed to the side of the reel and turn it in a circular motion. ;D ;D

Which way?

That's a good question, I'll get back to you on that one. :-*

The opposite way to how it went when you unwound it on arrival.

want you want is to get it as tangled
as you can tie a few knots in it
that helps ;D ;D

Screwing the reel down means less flexibility when parking I would have thought. The advantage to reeling in is obvious, but reeling out would be a pain if not parked right for a job.
