Whats a health & safety statement ?
Been asked for one for a commercial job
Any ideas any one ?

HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY STATEMENT
The Owner of Smart Cleaning Ltd is committed to protect the health, safety and welfare of all employees when engaged in Company business. He will take steps to ensure the safety of visitors to our premises and members of the public with whom we come into contact whilst we are at work.
He is ultimately responsible for health and safety, but the day to day management of health and safety is delegated to our team leaders.
Our policy is:
• to provide adequate control of the health and safety risks in our business
• to consult with our staff on matters affecting their health and safety
• to provide and maintain safe plant and equipment
• to ensure safe handling and use of substances
• to provide information, instruction and supervision for staff
• to ensure that staff are competent to do their tasks, and give them adequate training
• to prevent accidents and work-related ill health
• to maintain safe and healthy working conditions
• to review this policy as necessary at regular intervals
All staff are expected to fully co-operate. We will deal firmly with any employee who acts without due regard for the health, safety and welfare of themselves and others.
The company supports a policy of continuous improvement in performance throughout the business, and expects this to be reflected in our safety record.
