Hi Guys
Sorry another newbie wanting advice ! You might think these are stupid questions but I still need answer cheers !
Have just started canvassing last week, having printed some simple but decent leaflets.I am door knocking rather than just leaflet dropping. If no one is in then I just post thru. This way is slower and so only doing around 50 leaflets per hour. The nearest town to me is mainly bungalows and so started there. I am doing this during the day and so only about 30% of people are in. I am going to try evenings instead. As I am new its traditional rather than WFP. Now my questions.
1. I canvass for 2-3 hours a day and get an average of 2-3 customers each day. These have all been face to face calls rather than calls to my leaflet. Is that a decent response or should I be aiming higher ?
2. Is it worth calling back on the houses with no reply and that I posted a leaflet maybe in the evening or weekend ?
3. Lots of the bungalows have a single dormer window, rather than ladders can I use a pole and squeegee with an angled adaptor ?
4. Scrim or Micro ?
5. Starting kit. A kit that you can buy for £50-70 or buy better quality items individually ?
6. Its in Hertfordshire so I am charging £10 minimum for bungalow with 8-10 Windows. About right or too cheap ?
7. Best place you can recommend for buying equipment ?
Thanks very much for all your advice

2. Is it worth calling back on the houses with no reply and that I posted a leaflet maybe in the evening or weekend ? Doubt it.
3. Lots of the bungalows have a single dormer window, rather than ladders can I use a pole and squeegee with an angled adaptor ? Yes.
4. Scrim or Micro ? Scrim.
5. Starting kit. A kit that you can buy for £50-70 or buy better quality items individually ? Individual.
6. Its in Hertfordshire so I am charging £10 minimum for bungalow with 8-10 Windows. About right or too cheap ? Cheap.
7. Best place you can recommend for buying equipment ? Gardiners for some stuff, other places* for other stuff. Avoid eBay.
Thanks very much for all your advice Send £25 to Cancer Research and I'll be happy with that.

Yes. They have been missed by every other canvassing window cleaner because they aren't in in the day. Keep records and try them another time.

Any more advice ?

I bought all of my start up gear individually from Soap National.
Everyone will have their preferred choice, but I found these guys super efficient with delivery speed etc. Also got all my gear I wanted, it's all good quality, not basement prices but it's not too expensive.
