Title: Does leafleting houses work?

I've just recently bought a descent round with scope for canversing. I'm considering leafleting the houses I don't clean and I'm looking to find out on here wether leaflets create enough work to justify leafleting an area and what type of leaflets I should go for I.e. Coloured etc...

I built my business on flyering, using black and white photocopied leaflets, 4 to an A4 page. Cost me hardly anything.

People will say that flyering doesnt work, but it did for me.

iv built a stonker round on the most basic leaflets ,handwritten 1 liners .    HOWEVER the results lately have dropped off as the climate has become much tougher out there.  Now i get about 1 job for every 100 leaflets  dropped but i got 4  for every 100  only 3 years ago

 leaflet like a man possesed is my tip, dont flag or you will get bad results

Think im gona go for coloured leaflets just one coloured paper and state the information you said but with out the one off cleans, I dont really do one offs

put 1 thousand out a week ago last friday, walked myself into the ground, response rate so far 0 dont know until you try, results will vary street to street know way of knowing this.

....got a great young lad delivering leaflets for me.......similar result.....1000 dropped....two phone calls....including one messer.......whoops. Dropping 50,000 though so hopefully will hit some better streets! ??? ??? ???

i dropped 8000 leaflets without a call when i started my cleaning business.  its only when you drop large numbers, month after month, that you start to get good results...

you cant beat knocking on the door face to face thats wot they like you see them they see you much better and while your dropping the leaflet you may as well knock.if out then leave a leaflet

Thats what I was thinking of doing, knocking the doors and if no answer posting a leaflet.

door knocking is the best and fastest way.
but if you are busy with a round and have less time . leaflets work also....
I am busy, so I only leaflet drop, and I target specific properties and areas....
so "yes " it works...
but your leaflet needs to be good and not clutered :)

im a busy fool. i start at 6-8 andrk untill 4ish then from 5 till 7.30 canvassing. if you want customers then make time for it.
