Ive put together a survey which Im hoping customers will take part in by bringing it up when they pay online. Its in the form of a popup that appears when they go to the paying page on the website.
Opinions please. Im sure they'll be negative but hey ho  ;D

As a newbie just want to advise that IMHO a top idea and a very professional looking site! :)

pop ups p*ss people off especially  survey pop ups. let them pay then let them go no need for that on a payment page.

I suspect people would get hacked off with it if it appeared every time.
So, is it possible to get it to pop up later in the payment process once you know who the customer is so you could restrict it to, say, their first payment then one payment in four or five?  It'd also mean you wouldn;t have to ask for their details again.
Also, rather than popping up the whole survey, how about a smaller "are you prepared to give feedback" window that then leads to the full survey?

Matt, why not have a path rather than pop up it does not load on my browser as they are always blocked.
Also that cloud may get you in trouble with google if it is indexed, the text on parts is unreadable.
I think the idea is a very good one, and your customers are a little different than a random fining your site and getting a pop up.
These are used with a very good results, people are used to pop ups nowadays it does not P**s everyone off, my guess is that guy is talking about his own experience of them and not the masses.
Good idea just needs tweaking, and your text size on parts of your site may want to be looked at as looks a little messy tbh, having a link with cons on it IMO is giving out a bad impression, you and I know what it is, but a customer probs will not, just a thought

Interesting comments so far, thanks. Keep em coming fellas!

i think i will do a survey on who likes pop ups & who doesnt. ;D

I think the difference Matt is that the people using that particular section of your site know who you are and would probably answer a couple or three quick yes/no answers....perhaps a "would you help me" question prior to the pop up may help.   It shows you are interested in THEIR opinion......and people are always happy to pass that on ;)  Hope it goes well!!

have you ever written a cheque out ? your bank details are on there, with business accounts you have to use a pin machine to enter codes so unless people want to put money in they are worthless to other people, this applies to business account holders not personal

The bank covers you for any losses so you could post them on face book if you wanted !
Safe as houses IMHO

Like that a lot - feels a lot less intrusive.  All I'd change on there is all the capitals.
I've put a comment on by way of allowing you to test that you're getting them through.
