Theres one thing i wont do and thats let the weather get the better of me , if a customer dont want the windows cleaned in typical english weather then they are no longer a customer of mine .
I spoke with a fellow windy yesterday whos now 10 days behind , im only working the same areas but his attitude was customers wont like it .
If you dont try you wont find out , tell your customers from day 1 YOU WORK IN ANY WEATHER .

i can honestly say i could only dream of earning what i earned this week a few years ago.i never thought it possible i could crack the £1000 barrier on my own just on maintenance window cleaning alone.
you could say i was one of the guys who struggled along for many years.just getting by.treating window cleaning as a job rather than a business.some days this week i finished at 3pm as well!!
im 2 years WFP now and its made all the difference.coupled with a change in attitude, better pricing and having the courage to up prices on existing work.also offering a better more professional service.
obviously hard work has played a part but joining this forum has made a real difference.i wouldnt of found out about round software,WFP(best poles!)and how other people conduct their business and purify their water.
dont get me wrong there is still room for improvement but my round today is a million miles away from the one i had before i got online and found this forum!! ;D ;D
best wishes to you all

I FEEL THE SAME DAZ, I OWE IT ALL TO THIS FORUM

thats the thing GB!!I SEE LOADS OF WINDOW CLEANERS WHO ARE STILL STUCK IN THE DARK AGES!!just like i was a few years ago!! ;D ;D ;D
i was pretty much anti WFP etc, etc.i couldnt see past my own nose!!when other window cleaners come over for a chat they seem to be impressed with my set up and enthusiasm for window cleaning but they cant seem to motivate themselves or wont invest in the equipment.
their hearts not in it in the majority of cases and they dont have the money to buy a van,WFP etc.no business cards or uniform just a few hand printed WINDOW CLEANED TODAY tickets.
i can see more window cleaners getting savvy though due to forums like this and the explosion of the internet in peoples lives.
best wishes

Just what i needed to read, thank you Dazmond.I`ve been on holiday for 2 weeks, started cleaning again this week and tackling the backlog but i didn`t manage to prioritise the window cleaning and found myself with a bigger backlog by the end of the week! Time to get stuck in,(after i`ve had Monday off).

Well done Daz. I got my trolley from Pure Freedom at the same time as you and read as you went through your woes. I was starting from scratch so didn't have to relearn but I always opened your threads and still do... Well done mate.

Get in there dazmond.... this time next year you will have that customers motor on your drive instead of that heap of a ford.

hi daz
again i could not agree more, i used to try and sell my trad service with a sales pitch something like..." wfp can never be as good as getting up close and personal with the window!" lol
i dont even mind trad cleaners knocking wfp, i can see through them! i know what there really thinking ;)
maybe some beleive in what they say i dunno ??? i dont really care either way to be honest! hehehe
all the best buddy
george

Daz you are so epic you so money supermarket you just don`t know it.
-
ha!!ha!!anyone who thinks window cleaning is easy trad or WFP is deluded!its hard work but ive banged my round into much better shape than a few years ago thats for sure.its an ongoing thing though!as soon as i start resting on my laurels i get behind again! ;D ;D
off out on a family day out with brother kids and his wife today.time to kick back and chill but im all ready and organised for next weeks onslaught of work!
mick im happy with the cougar!ive had a few fords and they have always been good reliable cars and cheap!!had a mondeo and 2.3 v6 serria estate in the past.both i had for over 5 years and they were 10 years old when i bought them.very little problems with both cars in that time.
the best thing for me is to not compare myself with others and just keep ploughing my own furrough and enjoy the little successes along the way.
have a great day whether your working or just chilling out fellow cleaners!! ;) ;D ;D
regards
dazmond
