How many of you do this on your work, what is your technique, and how effective is it?

Rince the same way as off the glass, but on.

only just rest the brush on the glass, hold it at the top of the window for a sec then bring the flow down with light brush pressure. the Gardiner superlite is a good brush for rinsing on the glass. Brush must be clean with no debris.

Gardiners cill brush , medium double trim is excellent for this , I set angle adapter so jets point slightly up when brush is on glass , then the water is the last thing to touch glass , wash window and frame as normal , take brush back to top, go side to side then zig zag down glass , using a high flow works best.
