I don't know which weatherman said it'd be good for the next 2 days. For most, tomorrow could be a wash out.
UKWW issued the following at midday. It's not a warning but a 'watch out for'. UKWW is often more accurate than the met office because they don't have to constantly appease PR driven politicians.
....................................................................................
UKww Weather Watch for Heavy Rain
Issued Sun 10/06/2012 1200GMT
Areas affected - S England, SE England, E England, E Midlands & W Midlands
Valid from: 1800GMT Sunday 10th June 2012 - 2359GMT Monday 11th June 2012
General evolution: An occluded front associated with a slow moving weak area of low pressure, 1002hPa at 00Z Monday, will move into SE England on Sunday bringing further rain to areas which have already seen monthly totals for June exceed the long term average in the first week of the month.
On Sunday evening heavy rain will move into the south coast. Following this into Monday this will gradually move NE. Totals of up to 40mm in 24hrs are possible across the watch area with higher totals in localised areas.
It should be noted due to significant model variability it is not possible at this stage to identify where the highest totals will be across the watch area.
Please listen to local radio/television broadcasts for up to date information on travel conditions.
UKww will monitor this watch and update/upgrade when necessary.

Blimey. Now Skywarn have issued a weather watch but it's updated to severe.
........................................................
SKYWARN UK SEVERE WEATHER WATCH #026
ISSUED: 1500UTC SUNDAY 10TH JUNE 2012
SKYWARN UK HAS ISSUED A SEVERE WEATHER WATCH FOR THE FOLLOWING REGIONS:
CENTRAL ENGLAND
CENTRAL-SOUTHERN ENGLAND
SOUTH-EASTERN ENGLAND
IN EFFECT FROM 1500UTC SUNDAY 10TH JUNE UNTIL 2359UTC MONDAY 11TH JUNE 2012
SHALLOW LOW PRESSURE TRAVELLING THROUGH ENGLISH CHANNEL AND STALLING OCCLUSION.
THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF SEVERE WEATHER AFFECTING THE INDICATED REGIONS IN THE TIME PERIOD SPECIFIED. THREATS WITHIN THIS WATCH INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
HEAVY RAIN...SURFACE FLOODING
DISCUSSION:
GOOD AND CONSISTENT MODEL AGREEMENT OVER THE PAST 24 HOURS OF A SHALLOW LOW PRESSURE TRAVELLING THROUGH THE ENGLISH CHANNEL PUSHING OCCLUDED FRONTS ACROSS CENTRAL, SOUTHERN AND SOUTH-EASTERN ENGLAND. HIGHER THETA-E VALUES ARE ALSO DRAWN UP FROM THE NEAR CONTINENT AND BEGINS TO DESTABILISE ON ARRIVAL TO THE REGIONS COVERED IN THIS WATCH. PW VALUES OF BETWEEN 2.5CM TO ALMOST 3CM ARE PROMOTING HEAVY AND PERSISTENT RAINFALL WITH OCCLUDED FRONTAL SYSTEM OVER THE WATCH AREA BECOMING SLOW MOVING/STALLED IN THE SLACK AIR-FLOW.
ALTHOUGH THERE IS SOME INSTABILITY IN THE FORM OF A COUPLE OF HUNDRED J/KG ELEVATED MLCAPE WHICH MAY PROVIDE SOME CONVECTIVE ACTIVITY, COUPLED WITH SOME MODEST LLS/DLS, THIS IS DEEMED A LOWER RISK IN COMPARISON TO THE PRIMARY THREAT FROM THE RAINFALL AND ACCUMULATIONS IN PARTICULAR.
THIS WATCH MAY BE UPDATED OR UPGRADED IN FUTURE.

Around here, Southern Water are busy dumping the excess water into the sea. >:(
Worse than that, all the reservoirs are 100% full but still, there's a drought.
-
Picked up about 1000 litres of rainwater in the last 48 hours.
Hoping I'll stop picking it up for long enough to go and do some work!
-
Thinking of selling my van and buying a boat
-
Rain off and on here in West Mids. Fed up with cabin fever so Ive worked through it today. Looks like its drying up now so out again in a mo then to my local at 5pm to watch England! C'mon!!

You worked in that rain? You lunatic! Even Ian WindowWashers didn't work in the rain today, and he works in diving flippers because he can ;D

When I said it was good for next 2 days I was being selfish and thinking of North Wales area ;)

Well thats a first! Dry in North Wales, who would have thought it. The only way you can tell when its summer in North Wales is when the rain gets warmer.
-
At least the almost non stop rain has washed off all the sea salt from my van that was deposited by the 2 days of 40mph+ winds last week.
-
Dry here nearly all day, but once the thought is in my head that I'm having a "rainy day", wild horses wouldn't drag my lazy ar$e out to work! ::)
;D
