Title: Using WFP on thin leaded windows?
Post by: PurefectWindowCleaning on June 10, 2012, 10:20:09 am
Im sure everyone has been cleaning windows with the pole and you notice water running down the inside of the glass, mainly on thin leaded windows. Well, this has been happening to me on a few occasions. Ive tried turning the flow down to low but still have the problem.
How do you experts do it? Im thinking maybe wash the frames as normal, then cut the flow and give the glass a brush, then rinse lightly.

Cheers,
James.

Dont WFP it in my opinion. I use glass cleaner and a micro fibre.

Very Carefully - Use trigger to wet the window - scrub very carefully and very gently with no water flow - very quick rinse.
Usually no problems with water ingress = you don't want a constant stream of water in this situation.

i make sure the brush is wet, give the glass a light rub with no flow, then put a scrim over brush a give it a rub over - tidy

I just clean them.  The first time, I always mention it to the customer.  Almost every one says don't worry, they are used to it when it rains.
