Hi Guys,
Downloaded George. Must say I think it's a brilliant piece of kit for my business. It's also made me realize how well I'm doing at building my business, it will also help me keep an eye on money coming in and going out.
Just wondering when you enter your vehicle reg and mileage, will it work out how much its costing per mile? That would be interesting.

Yeah as I said I was really flippant when I started up first time round with money and it cost me dearly. I just kept my eye on the standard of service and never really chased new work. I believed it would find me. This time I'm spending a lot of time watching the pennies and if I finish early I will leaflets a couple of roads. Today I finished a house around 2, leafleted until 3 then got a phone call from the leaflets I posted and priced that up. I thought with it being a three day week I wouldn't hit my target of £100 a month of new work but so far I'm on £82 in 2 days.

I was thinking about our conversation before too. I have been thinking of your advice about not letting people price a job for me. I was thinking about the other guys advice from that post about 'Trainee Window Cleaner.' and Bob Plum gave me a bit of advice over a cuppa the other day when I met up with him to try his slx out because I was finding myself under pricing he said take a laminated price list out with me and if I find myself about to undercut myself point at the price list and say "Well my boss said this..." (we decided that the boss was my Missus) ;D

Lol great idea....she is the boss after all lol....

I found I've got over that underpricing thing now I've got a bit of work on each day. But I was thinking if I sent someone else out with the list I know what kind of figure they will be getting me per job. But to be honest I think I'm picking up a good bit of work just by leafleting and door knocking in my free time. Ideally though I'd love to get myself snowed under with work just so I can change my families lifestyle then maybe separate the cream from the milk and slow down a bit. Knowing me though I would just continue pushing it.

I know you are just starting out again but life work balance is important....

I know George, I think it's because a month ago I was in a job where I knew how much I was earning this week, next week, next month, next year. Now though if I go canvassing for an evening I can give myself a £1200 a year pay rise. Obviously I have to do the work after that but the idea of my income constantly growing gives me a hunger to do more. Having something like this George system in front of you lets you see that in black and white too!

Never used it but any of the systems on the market let you track your business and growth.... Will be nice to see it grow week on week...
Growth gets harder in months two and three once you have regular work to do so just keep your eye on the ball and the skys the limit....
