the way i look at it is.
you buy an RO-DI, you connect it up and do very little to it.
yes you waste some water depending on what RO you get.
but with the DI system you have to keep changing the resin over.
i have had my DI on my RO for over a year now with the same resin.

About 45 -50 after Merlin RO.

thought mine was high at about 390ppm yours must be about as high as i gets

mine can be 496 sometimes, as long as it is under 500 the water companies are doing there job! (so they say)
I get 13 out of 4040 with booster pump.
to the guy thats getting 40/50 out of ro, do you have a twin di set up after that ? if you dont I would defo look into it.

I have double DI'ed for 4 years or so, my TDS tap is around 60-75 though. No real problem to change it over you must have to change the resin if ROing 450+ water.

spoke to a guy last week his tds out of tap was 13 :o lucky guy.
