Why would you not take them on as a customer? If they been messed around they could turn into a great customer?

It almost seems like a bragging competition on here at times as to the daftest reason to dump a customer.....

we clean her daughters windows and she knew we were a trusted window cleaner and if she wants a cheaper window cleaner then she can go and get one as the price we quoted included the con roof and it wouldnt be the same as was quoted 12months ago as prices change. your right she could be a great customer but first impressions count and she has had a bad one on me

Offer to re-quote. She might have got a cheaper wc'er but she may have learned that that isn't always the best way. I wouldn't hold it against her.
Of course, it's up to you and you might not need or fancy the job.

If you could buy the same service cheaper would you?

Yes she might have made a choice on price and learnt that it doesnt always work out well.... Very silly not to take her on in my opinion....

I get calls from potential customers who say they have my card or leaflet or seen me in a magazine, when I ask where they live, they are normally in areas I canvassed years ago, the record so far is 4 years, yet they have just seen me.

If I was you I would re-quote to reflect your price increase and if she agrees carry on cleaning.

How many times have you seen and heard from cleaners on this site using crap but cheap equipment, but end up paying for something that lasts and works better.

You will find that because she has come to you, you are in command and if she does become a customer from hell, well then you can dump, but what if she is won over by what you do, imagine the testimonials she can give you and your company.

I walked into a rolls royce dealership years ago and couldn't afford one, if I ever get the money to buy one, do you think they will refuse to sell me one, if I went back?

i do agree with you to the fact if i found something cheaper else where i would go lol but it was in the manor she turned us away 12 months ago she was told she was going to be cleaned in 2weeks from when she was quoted but still waited till we turned up on the day to clean them till she told us she had found someone cheaper so it was a wasted journey most people would have the courtosey to at least let you know thats why she made a bad impression which is why im not over keen in doing them.
thanks for your feed back :)
