Personally I wouldn't bother with the extra expense of card payments. Just give customers your bank details and they can pay online for FREE!!

Thought about that as well but i think once the door is closed behind you it will be just another job for the customer to get round too.
So i was thinking t if the machine is ready there and then payment could be made.
I suppose that does not stop the collecting part maybe standing order would be better

I use cardsave been impressed Google them

some of mine pay online. Like everything else the good ones are prompt and the others forget or put it in the in tray which doesnt get done, and I still have to go back to the same streets anyway cos only a few do it.
Anyone found payment machine useful?

for just window cleaning I dont think there would be much point on normal jobs eg £10 / £14 etc but on bigger jobs then possibly.
Next year were thinking about getting into pressure washing so on jobs like this then defo going in for a mobile card payment device this we could then use for the window cleaning if needed but we would look to pass the fees onto the customer for any small amounts for the windows.
Within the next few months I think were going to see a lot more mobile phone payment options ... barclays pingit being the first but rekon few more on the way so this would defo be a good idea for doorstep collecting but again I would want to pass charges onto the customer after all you book airline tickets for example any charges are passed onto customers at at least a fiver a go .... im talking about the 2% or 3% that the bank would charge us ... maybe a fee of £1 would be acceptable ?
