Title: STAINED CLADDING USEING VIRASOL
Post by: Darren H on May 31, 2012, 04:24:26 pm
Has anyone had this happen to them and how did you put the problem right.
I used virasol on the soffits and fascias work a treat so i put some on the cladding then got the pole out to brush it and flush it down, the virasol lifted the dirt straight away but where it run down you can see the trail and after a lot of sweat brushing its still there its better but there. It looked a bit better once it started to dry.

Thanks for any advice.

you could try upvc solvent cleaner that they use when fitting fascias etc to give them a shine after fitting to remove all dust and debris only bout 6 quid it removes permanent marker off my whiteboards which bleach etc wont

it sounds like the virosol was mixed too strong and applied from the top first hence the run marks, when applying the chemical it should always be applied from the bottom upwards this avoids getting any marks . to correct this you can try applying nearly neat virosol on the entire surface from the bottom upwards leave to dwell a couple of minutes then rinse depending on how strong the chemical was on the first application this may work

The virisol was applied neat the 1st time so id be a bit worried about repeating the process.
never had any problems on the soffits and fascias.
