Hi lately I have been hearing alot about micro splitters, at the moment I use general pre sprays ie: formula 321, one clean ect & formula 90 & one clean as my detergent. I get good results most of the time. Just wondered what others opinions are generally out there carpet cleaning everyday? Any feedback would be helpful cheers Steve

I have used microsplitters for over 12 years now. My machine dates from then and has never had anything except plain water through it and is still the original pump.
The later MS products are very reliable and I have SPM and MPower and four spotters on the van. If they cannot get a mark out very little else will- certainly safely.

I think your machine has lasted because its only had water through it. Nothing really to do with using microsplitters. It would be the same if you were using detergent pre-sprays.
Microsplitters are essentially a blend of Phosphate salts. There are various products on the market such as SPM which has already been mentioned. There are also Pureclean, Microsplit, DFC105 & 110 and others.
Mpower isn't a true microsplitter but a colloidal solution. These were originally developed to break up oil spillages in a more eco friendly way than the detergents which were commonly used.

I was thinking back more to the times of in tank detergents and that horrible crud in the pump valves.
