What is best for the removal of , and the odour.

For the odour.
Remove and the replace the section of effected underlay. Spray both sides of the carpet with Urine Contamination Treatment from Chemspec. The extract and sanatise with sanatiser of choice.
The stain will probably be permanente but you could try Dye Gone from chemspec.

without a professional help you probably wont be able to remove the smell for good. I know people who had to remove wood block floor because of that

Rubbish. All odours are removable with the right products and procedures.

Dye gone for the stain and nemesis odour neutraliser for the smell
