If you don't bother with yell.com please go and check your free listing hasn't been hi-jacked
I happened to go on yell.com this evening to see how the results come up and had a bit of a shock.
There's a cleaning business popped up recently in our town. The cheeky **** has gone onto the free listing for my business, and also three others in my area, and "claimed" them as his business. What he's done is add a web link to his own website - it still says the right company name and phone number for the listing, but if you click "go to website" it goes to his web address!
One of the other businesses is no longer trading, but I've phoned the other two guys and told them what's going on, and we've notified Yell
Trying the official channels first, then "traditional" methods if that doesn't work ;)
Stupid sod is using his home address to trade from so will be very easy to go and have a "quiet word".
Raging.

Knee-capping usually works wonders. ;)

What a cheeky Bar - steward :o
Ive heard it all now just how far people will go. I too would be livid.

Whats a quite word.......in NEAL terms.

I'd go and sort it out with Yell first. They'd probably sort it out with raising a complaint.
Despite being a bunch of vankers, their usually pretty responsive on the the phone if you get their name

I dont get it, how can they 'claim it'? Surely Yell set it up and then details are uploaded and then subsequently should be'secure'?
It sounds like a major flaw in their system to me??? Although very cheeky and out of order, maybe this will sort their act out?

Its too late they are slowly going up the chute. In financial trouble having borrowed too much buying other companies when the whole thing is being overtaken by the net.
