For the last few days i have been extending each section of my slx fully instead of extending a few sections half way the pole top end is lighter to work with and quicker ;D ;D
I have been doing this as im thinking about getting an gardiners 25 extreme pole.

why would you only partially extend the sections???

My thought exactly! ;D
Rigidity is my guess, however, increased extended weight would counter what you would gain on a slx IMO.

Top tip 8)
You have to stand a long way back when you do the patio doors with a 25' fully extended.

Come on i taught myself never been shown how to do it the reason i never fully used each section is because i started with a clx bendy pole and when i got my slx i carried on doing the same :'( :'( :'(
I will take myself and sit in the corner :( :(

i still dont know why you do it, i have a clx 27 that i use for everything & its not that bendy

speed.
Some times I extend sections half way, some times a 1/4 sometimes fully it depends on the house, it is like saying why use a large 18/22 inch squeegee on 5 meter panes of glass when you could use a 6inch, the simple fact it is quicker to do some times.
winpro before you jump in I have not tried the extreme as yet but there is only so fast one can go the pole weight of an slx I am totally happy with at the heights I do at the moment, I am quick, it is the way we use tools that make us quick or slow also the experience we have using the tool.
So before someone jumps in and says you need to fully extend or do it half way, please remember the reason why your making this comment ;D

I would also spread the length over the full pole as I feel this will not put stress on the joints. This is the reason why some guys have poles that last and some buy a new pole so often. So I do not go with say extending 2 sections fully to get 15 foot. To many uninformed opinions and very little facts on this forum. ???

so what your saying is eg to get a 2nd floor window instead of extending your pole a length at a time until your at hight with say 3 fully extended
you extend say 4/5 sections but only part way ??? & thats faster
