Title: MP4 to PC ????

As above , what i need to do is play my dvr on my pc so i can give the custie a vid of the gutter clean , the dvr only does mp4 and my pc only does mp3 , i have tried to download 3 different things off the net but im not getting anywhere with any of them  ??? ??? ???

Anybody point me in the right direction of what i can do please ?

VLC will play nearly anything.

do you really give them a dvd of you cleaning there gutters ? \I hope you charge for the time it takes, I did it about 8 times and stopped it as was time zapping and low paid

Thanks to all the posts above , i went with the VLC i can now do what i want to do , i have also taken the opportunity to install CCTV in my van , i got a camera for recording the driving side of things as i got a hit and run last year , they tracked down and prosecuted but the insurance came to a brick wall.
I also have a camera to view the inside of the van , i had a pole robbed off the van £300 out of pocket on that day , just glad they didnt take the 45 footer too !

Completely agree with WW ,dont offer a video of emptying their gutters as it is not neccesary and all it does is cost you time. I know certain guttervac companies love to promote and sell their vastly overpriced guttervac systems and DVD recording systems but for the regular customer it is only of interest to them if you offer it. DONT GET INVOLVED!! give the custy a price for their gutters , empty them , get paid and move on ;)

I dont offer the vid service , i dont even mention it , i keep it on the dvr until paid , its all good , its just a backup plan for the fools !
For instance , i got paid by a long term custie and had the feeling that cos she wasnt in when i did said work she was dubious about the fact that i had done it .
At the time i did not have VLC , but i did still have by chance the vid of job in the dvr memory , i was able to switch on and blow her out of the water in seconds , she did not expect this and is still lucky to have me on her glass , she now knows not to question me as i am one step ahead .
If we can show this to the custie then we will no longer be regarded as the poo on the shoe tradesman that they think we are .
The above is not what i think is the take of all custies , but if we can show the fools that we are here as pros , maybe even more on the ball than them in their  chosen field of work !
